This is who they are.

With some exciting news on the horizon about my novels, I thought I would do a little post to introduce my stunning, loud, yet slightly funny and kick ass characters.

So without further ado…I present you with Kayla and Carter from Lace and Sin.

Upon losing her parents at a young age and being thrust into a whole new world in New York, all she’s had on her mind for the past 15 years is revenge – that is until she meets Carter.
They form a relationship purely on their attraction, and she finds herself constantly battling between the need for vengeance and the distraction he provides her.
In the end will she choose vengeance…or love?

[Kayla] is a polish born, New  York raised thief and lives with her long time friend Alek. She has dark hair, brown eyes and a hint of mischief in everything she does. She’s stubborn, opinionated and pretty skilled when it comes to picking a lock or pick pocketing someone. She has a strange love for peanut butter and is incredibly flexible/ fit from gymnastics and Taekwondo.

[Carter] is charming by nature, with dark hair and neon green eyes that seem to always get him what he wants – until Kayla shows up. He’s as troubled as her, with an equally chaotic past, soon discovering that they are very alike. He has tattoos, smokes on occasion and seems to only have one person he can trust – his best friend Jimmy. As well as being a bit of a bad boy, deep down he’s a bit of a romantic at heart.

And now Sweets and Sin, which is Jimmy’s story and includes moments with the previous main characters.
FrontSweets and Sin Synopsis: What started out as a bad decision, spending one night with a stranger ends up being the beginning of Serena’s adventurous and chaotic trip across Europe. It sure does help that the bad decision comes packaged as the sinfully delicious and tempting Jimmy Nixon – Jimmy the criminal, the thief and all round sweet and alluring guy. His humour and flirtatious demeanor certainly helps her through the chaos that follows him, but will it be enough to get her out of the mess he dragged her in and back on her way without him? Or does she want to stay?
Jimmy Nixon, the man with many talents, one of which is not being a normal law abiding citizen.
Constantly pulling his half-sister out of trouble he’s pretty much used to the disarray of his life, that is until the wild eyed, beautiful girl named Serena stumbles into his life and drags him under all with a simple laugh. He can’t help but want to spend more time with her, even among the problems that surround them they manage to comfort one another in ways more than just physical.
The connection that sizzles between them grows every step of their journey, and the more time they spend together, the harder it starts to become for either to say goodbye and move on with their life.

[Jimmy] has been a very fun character to write. He’s the always-go-with-the-flow type of guy and seems to find the fun in everything. He has this tattooed, rocker vibe about him and a flirtatious demeanor. He has dirty blonde hair that’s shorter on the sides and longer on top, usually styled in a mess of a faux-hawk and a jawline full of stubble. He can usually be found wearing his red chucks and his bandana and has this way of making everyone feel comfortable around him.

[Serena]  seems to be Jimmy’s little weakness. She has long light brown, sandy hair since she’s spent most of her time on a beach in Australia. Honey coloured eyes and a laugh that is contagious and loud. She has a thirst for random facts and a hunger for anything sweet to satiate her sweet tooth. She’s just as laid back and go-with-the-flow as Jimmy, which is why they get along so well. She thinks she’s boring, but she’s adventurous and amusing, which Jimmy finds he loves. Oh and she knows how to ride motorbikes.
